Online Résumé

September 1, 2009

You can now view my résumé (my nice, neat, pro-looking one) on this blog. Click here to check it out.

I’ve started a second Twitter account (in addition to my account for East Coast Overture, I mean). This one is for my non-music related stuff: friends, random interests and, oddly enough, it’s also my professional blogging account. You can follow me at _jillianne_.

Today was my last day working for the college search website, myUsearch. I’ve been blogging for them since April 2008. This summer, I learned some online marketing tricks during an internship with them. It’s all definitely been a learning experience. It also taught me a lot about blogging. I may do a guest post for them once in a while but nothing major. So, thank you Elizabeth very much for the opportunity. It’s been wonderful working with you. Thanks a mill.

Lastly, I started another blog. (I’m sick, I know. I have a problem, I know. I should seek professional help for my addiction. I know.) I love lists. I love, love, love them. The new blog, Listlove, contains lists and nothing else. Maybe some humor. But mostly lists.

deviantART recently released a new service and I’ve decided to take advantage of it.

Thus, I have a professional-looking photography portfolio. No doubt about it, it looks much better than my deviantART profile (although it’s quite nice too). And they only let you show so many photos so you have to show your very best work instead of every photo you’ve ever taken.

I’m going to add another category soon, likely called “Miscellaneous” or something like that, very soon. But for now, I present to you: my photography portfolio.

(One of these days I’ll learn how to give it its own domain under… but not today.)

I made a new post on my blog at Macleans OnCampus. It’s another humor post. I seem to be doing a lot of those these days. But it’s good, I enjoy writing them.

This one is called “10 Commandments of the Summer Job”. Enjoy!

Also, I decided to remove the “Published” page from this blog. I haven’t updated it in ages. Besides, I post all my recently published stuff on here anyway. So, it’s not a big deal.

So, I’m not 100% up-to-date on posting my articles that I did for Truro Daily. But I’ll get those posted. Eventually.

Anyway, my 2 newest posts for the myUsearch blog were published on April 27th and April 30th.

Portfolio stuff = done.

February 22, 2009

Took a couple hours from my precious weekend and gathered various clips together. I printed off my best myUsearch articles, both my Mookychick articles and a couple of my College Jolt posts. Then I photocopied my articles from 2 magazines, The Buzz and The Surveyor.

Jill: 1. Procrastination: 0.

Y’know, it kinda looks like I’ve accomplished a lot as a writer when all my published work is together in a bunch. Makes a girl feel impressive, even important.

I just submitted another article to Mookychick. I have to say, I really do love that website.

I also updated my résumé and published page on this blog and on my official website.

This makes five.

I was inspired to start yet another blog. WordPress has a strange power over me. Very weird indeed. Anyway, this will be my professional blog. I’ll talk about my writing and talk about anything I have published.

Cool beans.
